DGP-Swain Visits poonch Attack Site,Coordinates Anti-Terror Operation

The Director General of Police for Jammu and Kashmir, Rashmi Ranjan Swain, conducted a visit to the location of a militant attack in the Surankote area of Poonch district on Friday. The unfortunate incident, which occurred on Thursday, resulted in the tragic loss of five soldiers.

Accompanied by senior police officials, Swain arrived at the site of the attack in the Dhera ki Gali area to assess the situation and collaborate with security forces. During his visit, the police officer engaged with the security forces overseeing the anti-terror operation in the region. He shared his expertise to expedite the efforts to neutralize the militants who were hiding in the area.

It is important to note that the attack claimed the lives of five soldiers, while two others sustained injuries. The incident transpired when heavily armed militants ambushed two army vehicles transporting troops to an operational site along the DKG-Bufliaz road on Thursday.
