Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the Border Security Force (BSF) on their 59th Raising Day celebrations, declared that India’s borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh will be completely secured in the next two years. The government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has already made significant progress, closing gaps along 560 km of these borders over the past nine years. Shah emphasized that the remaining 60 km stretch is currently being worked on, ensuring a fully secure border in the near future.
BSF: The Pillar of India’s Border Security
Shah praised the BSF, acknowledging their critical role in safeguarding the nation’s borders, which has enabled the country to achieve developmental milestones. He highlighted that the advancements in various sectors, including India’s rise in the global economy and successful missions like Chandrayaan, were possible due to the secure borders maintained by the BSF and other forces. Shah reaffirmed his belief in the BSF as the backbone of national security and progress.
