Official documents stress the importance of NAAC accreditation for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in assessing conformity to quality standards. The criteria encompass various aspects such as performance in educational processes and outcomes, curriculum coverage, teaching-learning processes, faculty, research, infrastructure, learning resources, organization, governance, financial well-being, and student services.

Innovative Initiatives and Skill Development

The documents shed light on initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education, including the establishment of virtual labs and mass media communication labs. Furthermore, the government has identified 16 Government Degree Colleges (GDCs) to introduce B.VOC programs and 14 additional GDCs for establishing Centers for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training to bolster youth employability.”At least 30 colleges are in the process of starting research activities by establishing research hubs under the Hub and Spoke model,” the document reveals. Moreover, 50 colleges have been earmarked to offer skill courses of level-4 under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
