    A Vistara flight en route to Goa was forced to return to Bengaluru after a stray dog was spotted on the runway at Dabolim Airport, Goa. The incident, which occurred on Monday afternoon, led to the Air Traffic Controller advising the pilot to delay the landing.

    Flight’s Journey and Schedule Changes

    Flight UK 881, which departed from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru at 12.55 pm, made the decision to return and landed back in Bengaluru at 3.05 pm. The flight resumed its journey later, departing Bengaluru at 4.55 pm and eventually arriving in Goa at 6.15 pm.

    Vistara updated passengers about the situation through social media. They posted about the diversion and expected times of departure and arrival, keeping passengers informed of the changes.

    Airport Director Comments on the Incident

    SVT Dhanamjaya Rao, the director of Goa airport, acknowledged the rare occurrence of such incidents. He stated that while stray dogs occasionally enter the runway, the ground staff usually clears the area promptly. He mentioned that this was the first incident of its kind during his tenure of one and a half years.
