Kuwait, July 31, 2026 [VoM News]: The armed forces of Kuwait has intercepted and destroyed Iranian drones that were allegedly targeting vital civilian and military facilities in the country, Kuwait’s Defence Ministry said.

“The hostile targets were engaged and destroyed. This resulted in material damage due to falling shrapnel, without any human casualties being recorded,” the statement said.

Authorities said the falling debris caused limited material damage, but no injuries or fatalities were reported.

The ministry did not provide details on the number of drones intercepted or identify the specific facilities that were allegedly targeted.

The recent escalation comes amid heightened tensions across West Asia, where regional hostilities have raised concerns over the security of critical infrastructure and maritime routes, particularly, when Iran struck the vessels in Strait of Hormuz.
