
15 Indians Killed in Vietnam Boat Tragedy Near Phu Quoc Island
New Delhi, July 12 [VoM News]: As per Indian offivails, a boat carrying Indian visitors also capsized near Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam has resulted into 15 casualities.
13 men and two women includes in casualities, where as, nearly 21 people were rescued, out of which two are reported in critical condition.
According to the Indian Embassy in Hanoi, thedeceased include 10 people from Tamil Nadu, three from Andhra Pradesh and two from Kerala.
The boat, having 32 Indian tourists, three crew members and one attendant, onbarded reportedly overturned shortly after departing for An Thoi Port amid rough seas and strong winds, as per Indian Embassy in Hanoi.
Lava Mobiles confirmed that 14 of those killed were its channel partners and one was a company employee. The group was part of an incentive trip organised by the company.

A survivor has revealed the horrible truth stating that the speedboat overturned within minutes of departure after it was strongly hit by a powerful storm, and those passengers seated near the front managed to escape through a window, while several others became trapped inside the vessel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the bereaved families and said the Indian Embassy and Consulate were providing all possible assistance.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi also urged the government to work closely with Vietnamese authorities to support rescue efforts and affected families.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Hanoi has established emergency control rooms in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, while the Ambassador is travelling to Phu Quoc to coordinate consular assistance with local authorities.
On the other side, the search and rescue operations were still continuing during the filing of this report.
