    NEW DELHI, July 11, 2026 [VoM News]: In a strong message conveyed to Bangladesh Govt, India has objected to the depiction of an incorrect map of Jammu and Kashmir during a seminar in Bangladesh.

    Reiterating it’s claim India has stated that the Union Territory is an integral and inalienable part of the country and no efforts to undermean could be entertained.

    Pooja Kumari Jha, who is the Second Secretary at the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, raises the objection during a presentation by former Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Ahmed Tariq Karim at a seminar on regional cooperation hosted by the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS).

    Jha made a crystall clear pointed out that Banglades has incorrectly represented India’s boundaries. She stated that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and should not be misrepresented.

    Responding to the objection, Karim said the map was used only for representational purposes and did not reflect actual boundaries. Jha acknowledged the clarification but reiterated India’s official position on the matter.

    After learning that Jha represented the Indian High Commission, Karim said her point had been noted before continuing his address.
