The 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas was commemorated with great reverence and patriotism in Doda, paying tribute to the brave martyrs of the Kargil War. The significant event, held at the Dak Bungalow Doda, served as a reminder of India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil conflict and the sacrifices made by the armed forces.
Leading the tribute were DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal and Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh. They were joined by Vice Chairperson DDC Sangeeta Rani Bhagat, members of the DDC council, Tehsildar Doda Dr. Subuh Ahmad Shad, and other prominent officials. Their presence underscored the importance of the day and the collective respect for the heroes who fought valiantly.
Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26, is a day dedicated to honoring the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces during the Kargil conflict.
