US Military Conducts Self-Defence Strikes on Houthi Missiles in Yemen

The US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed two “self-defence” strikes against six Houthi mobile antiship cruise missiles in Yemen that were poised for launch towards the Red Sea.

Additionally, a Houthi unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down over the southern Red Sea in self-defence.

CENTCOM stated that the missiles and UAV posed an imminent threat to merchant vessels and US Navy ships in the region.
