    Road Mishaps in Beed District

    In a heart-wrenching turn of events, two separate road accidents in Maharashtra’s Beed district have led to the loss of nine lives and left 27 individuals injured. The accidents involved a private bus and an ambulance and occurred in quick succession, casting a pall of sorrow over the region.

    Fatal Bus Overturning

    The first incident unfolded when a speeding bus en route from Mumbai to Beed, a distance of approximately 120 km, overturned at Aashta Fata. The accident took place at 6 am on a fateful Thursday. It was determined that the bus had been moving at a high speed when the driver lost control, causing the tragic incident. The local police, in coordination with residents, promptly launched a rescue operation.

    Loss of Lives and Injuries

    Regrettably, the accident resulted in five fatalities. Four of the victims hailed from Beed district, while one was from Yavatmal. An additional 26 passengers sustained injuries during the bus accident. They were swiftly transported to various hospitals for necessary medical care. The deceased have been identified as Dhondiba Shinde, Deodatt Peche, Mohammad Asif Dost Mohammed Khan, Ashok Bhondve, and Ravi Godambe.

    Ambulance Collision

    The second tragic accident occurred at Ambhora on Dhamangaon-Ahmednagar Road in Beed around 9.30 pm the preceding Wednesday. In this case, a speeding ambulance collided with a truck from the rear. The ambulance had been on its way to Ahmednagar. Tragically, the crash claimed the lives of four individuals. The driver and two others lost their lives on the spot, while a doctor who was also on board the ambulance succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Ahmednagar.

    The victims of the ambulance collision have been identified as Dr. Rajesh Jhinjurke, ambulance driver Bharat Lokhande, both from Ashti, and Manoj Tirpude and Pappu Tirkhunde from Pathardi. One person sustained injuries and was promptly transported to a medical facility for treatment.

    These distressing accidents have cast a somber mood over Beed district, highlighting the importance of road safety and cautious driving in the region.
