Kishtwar, 24-08-2024 – A critical training program for Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates across the Assembly Constituencies of 48-Inderwal, 49-Kishtwar, and 50-Nagseni Paddar took place today at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex in Kishtwar.
This initiative, aimed at preparing officials for the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024, was conducted under the guidance of District Election Officer Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan-JKAS.
The training was led by Pawan Kotwal JKAS, the Returning Officer for the 49-Kishtwar Assembly Constituency. It was designed to provide magistrates with the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate the efficient conduct of the elections.
The sessions, overseen by Nodal Officer Riyaz Ahmed Butt, covered crucial topics including election management, the roles and responsibilities of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates, and maintaining law and order.
Participants were trained on logistical and procedural aspects vital to the election process, equipping them to handle any challenges that might arise during the polling period.
Pawan Kotwal emphasized the importance of close coordination and thorough preparation to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections. He urged magistrates to perform their duties with diligence to ensure a smooth election process.
The program concluded with an interactive session where magistrates discussed potential challenges and clarified any doubts about election procedures with the master trainers.
This training marks a significant step in the district’s preparations for the Assembly Elections, ensuring that all officials are fully prepared for their roles.
