In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the Bihar government reported that 22 individuals from nine districts in Bihar lost their lives due to drowning in the past 24 hours. This tragic incident has cast a shadow of grief over the state, prompting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to offer condolences and announce financial aid of Rs 4 lakh to the families of each victim.

The official notice from the Bihar government revealed the distribution of these unfortunate incidents: five cases in Bhojpur, four in Jahanabad, three each in Patna and Rohtas, two each in Darbhanga and Nawada, and one each in Madhepura, Kaimur, and Aurangabad districts. The police responded swiftly to the incident, rushing to the scene where both boys were transported to JPC Hospital. However, despite efforts, the doctor pronounced them dead.

These twin brothers, approximately 14 years old, hailed from Pusta, Gamri village in Delhi. Their untimely loss serves as a poignant reminder of the need for water safety awareness and measures, especially during periods of heightened risk.
