Casualties and Injuries
The stampede claimed four lives, left two students critically injured, and several others with minor injuries. Officials and eyewitness accounts describe the chaos as students rushed to seek shelter from the rain.
Authorities Respond to the Crisis
Health Minister Veena George announced that arrangements for treating the injured were made at Kalamassery Medical College. Key ministers, including P. Rajeev and R. Bindu, traveled to Ernakulam to assess the situation, while police officials are on-site at CUSAT for investigation.
