In a proactive move, the Kishtwar Police carried out Thana Diwas, a community engagement program, across all police stations in the district. The initiative aimed to actively address and listen to the grievances of the local residents.
Under the guidance of SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, the Thana Diwas program was efficiently organized by the SDPOs and SHOs at various police stations within the district.
The event saw the participation of members from PRIs, civil societies, shopkeeper associations, and esteemed individuals representing different areas. During the sessions, attendees raised several concerns, and police officers diligently responded, assuring the public that their issues would be given priority. Matters pertaining to civil administration were committed to quick resolution, accompanied by subsequent feedback reports.

SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Khalil I Poswal-JKPS, in his address, extended a warm welcome to the participants and urged them to collaborate with the police and administration in upholding law and order. He emphasized the importance of identifying and reporting any anti-national or anti-social elements.
Additionally, the participants were briefed on emerging trends in cybercrime and the modus operandi employed by cybercriminals.
The community expressed their appreciation for the J&K Police’s initiative in organizing Thana Diwas, acknowledging its role in facilitating the swift resolution of their concerns.
