Tempo Traveller Falls into a Gorge in Doda’s Ponda Area | Several Feared Dead

A horrible road accident took place in a Panda area of district Doda in the morning hours of the day, resulting in the speculation of several casualties.

A vehicle under registration number JK06-4847 met with an horrible accident near Ponda area, on Doda-Bharat road of district Doda. The accident took place after a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge, in which several casualties are feared.

So far, three casualties have been confirmed, and 4 have been reported as critically injured.

After the accident reports, MLA Doda East extended the heartfelt condolences on this tragic accident and urged the district administration to ensure the medical assistance. MLA Mehraj Malik in a facebook post stated that such accidents should be prevented in the future, by taking the serious steps.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in a X post, stated that he is in touch with the district administration and all medical aid is being provided. He assured that the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh is personally supervising the incident.

Meanwhile, people on the other side, also reported the worst condition of the road. The people alleged that the department has not cleared the debris accumulating the space on the road, leading to slippery conditions. Also, the reports of overloading have been reported.

However, so far, there is no presence of the official version of authorities.
