A significant voter awareness event took place at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Assar, Doda, under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative. This event featured a Mega Rally and an Election Quiz, both aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the electoral process among young people.
The Mega Rally saw the enthusiastic participation of approximately 390 students. This rally served as a platform to emphasize the importance of voting and active civic engagement. Through this event, the students learned about the power of their vote and the crucial role they play in the democratic process.
In conjunction with the rally, an Election Quiz was organized, which saw participation from 970 students and 200 officials associated with Assembly Constituency 53 Doda West. The quiz was conducted among various school houses, providing an interactive and educational experience that highlighted the electoral process.
This initiative was particularly significant for the youth, who are on the brink of becoming eligible voters and will soon contribute to shaping the nation’s future.
The event’s success was largely attributed to the efforts of District Election Officer Harvinder Singh, who supervised the entire program. The initiative was also guided by Nodal Officer for AC 53-Doda West, Dr. Kailash Kumar.
Their leadership ensured that the event not only educated the participants but also inspired them to become active and informed voters in the future.
