
Summer Vacations Announced for Winter Zone Schools in Jammu Division from June 23
Jammu, June 22: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has officially declared summer vacations for all government and recognized private schools up to the Higher Secondary level falling under the Winter Zone of Jammu Division.
According to the order issued under No. 212-DSEJ of 2025, dated June 21, 2025, the summer break will be observed from June 23 to July 7, 2025.

The directive, signed by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director of School Education Jammu, applies to all eligible institutions within the jurisdiction of the Winter Zone. The order aims to ensure student well-being during the ongoing hot weather conditions in the region.
Further, the Directorate has requested the Department of Information to ensure wide publicity of the announcement through both print and electronic media, so that parents, students, and school authorities are well-informed in advance.
Mushtaq Ahmed, Joint Director School Education Jammu, has also endorsed the directive, emphasizing timely dissemination and implementation across the concerned districts.
Schools will resume normal academic activities from July 8, 2025, following the two-week vacation period.
