    Kishtwar, October 07, 2024 – In anticipation of a secure counting process for the General Assembly Elections-2024, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, has implemented rigorous security measures throughout the district.

    A comprehensive security briefing, led by SSP Kishtwar, brought together officers from the District Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and other key security agencies, including the CRPF and CISF.

    This session focused on maintaining a high level of alertness and collaboration among the forces to ensure any challenges that may arise on counting day are effectively managed.

    Strategic directives were issued during the briefing to enhance preparedness and ensure smooth inter-agency cooperation. The security framework aims to address the unique complexities of the counting process, ensuring transparency and safety for all involved.

    In a visible demonstration of their commitment to security, District Police Kishtwar, in coordination with the Armed Police, CRPF, and CISF, organized a flag march through key areas of the city.

    Led by SSP Kishtwar, the march included senior officers from CRPF 52 BN, Additional SP Kishtwar, SDPOs, and officers from various agencies.

    The procession covered significant routes, including Sarkoot, Main Market, Hidyal Chowk, Kichloo Mohalla, and Jamia Masjid Road, emphasizing the importance of public safety.

    SSP Abdul Qayoom assured citizens that all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure a peaceful and secure environment on counting day. He also stressed the importance of public cooperation to maintain law and order during this critical time.
