SRH Coach Praises Cummins Game-Reading Ahead of RCB Match
Ahead of their match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) coach, Daniel Vettori, praised captain Pat Cummins for his outstanding leadership and game-reading skills. The match will take place on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Vettori highlighted the contagious fearless attitude of top batters Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. He also acknowledged contributions from players like Klaasen, Samad, and Nitish in the team’s success.
Vettori emphasized Cummins’ preparation and high-quality performance throughout the season. He credited Cummins for handling pressure situations, especially in defending totals. The former New Zealand skipper commended the team’s bowlers, mentioning Natarajan’s recent performance and the team’s overall bowling success.

Discussing the Impact Player rule, Vettori found it beneficial for team selection in the 2024 IPL edition. He believed the rule didn’t diminish the role of all-rounders and provided more selection options.
SRH has had a strong season, currently third on the points table with ten points and a net run rate of +0.914.
