Eyewitnesses reported to Kashmir Bulletin (KB) that the burglars made off with the internal structure, wiring, and fuel of the transformer, leaving only the outer shell behind at the scene. The stolen transformer was the primary electricity source for several families in the area, making this theft particularly devastating.

Tariq Ahmed, the lineman responsible for the area, expressed deep concern over the situation, highlighting the significant inconvenience caused to the residents. “This transformer was crucial for supplying electricity to the homes in this neighborhood. The loss has put many families in a difficult position,” he told KB.
