Hitting screens on December 22, 2023, ‘Salaar’ swiftly became the talk of the Indian film circuit, magnetizing audiences and raking in a staggering first-day collection of Rs 95 crore net in India.

Under the direction of Prashanth Neel, ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ entered the elite list of the top 5 South Indian films with the most substantial Hindi openings at the Indian box office.
The movie’s Hindi-dubbed version amassed a striking Rs 15.75 crore on its debut day, securing the fifth spot after cinematic giants like ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, ‘2.0’, and ‘RRR’. This impressive start in Hindi is anticipated to play a pivotal role in sustaining the film’s long-term success.
A Milestone for Prabhas
This groundbreaking opening marks a personal milestone for Prabhas, elevating him as the first actor with four films that crossed the Rs 100 crore benchmark at the Indian box office, joining the ranks of ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘Saaho’, and ‘Adipurush’.
‘Salaar’ triumphed not only in the Telugu-speaking regions, enjoying an 88% occupancy, but also dominated in strongholds like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala, surpassing major releases such as ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Animal’.
