Reports of Helicopter Found Not True, Iranian Red Crescent denies report
An Iranian Red Crescent official has refuted reports claiming that the missing helicopter has been found, attributing these unconfirmed claims to local media. Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian also indicated there have been no new updates on the search.
However, a state television reporter noted that search and rescue teams might be within two kilometers of a potential location where the helicopter could be found.
Mohsen Mansouri, the deputy to the president for executive affairs, reported that contact was made with the helicopter after the incident, suggesting the severity might not be very high.
Two individuals on the flight managed to reach out multiple times, providing hope to the search team. Currently, 65 Red Crescent teams are actively searching the area, and officials believe they are close to locating the helicopter.
What’s Weather ?
Habib Abdoli, head of East Azerbaijan’s weather forecast authority, reported that the area where the president’s helicopter went down, near the village of Uzi, is expected to experience continued rain and dense fog through the night. Winds in the area are currently blowing at approximately 10 kilometers per hour. These weather conditions may complicate the ongoing search and rescue efforts.
