Reliance Jio Collaborates with IIT Bombay for Bharat GPT AI Project and Plans for TV Operating System
Akash Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, revealed at IIT-B’s Techfest that they are collaborating with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) to develop an Artificial Intelligence project named “Bharat GPT.”
This AI initiative aims to be a comprehensive project transcending various sectors, signaling Reliance Jio’s commitment to incorporating AI not only as a vertical within their organization but also across their diverse sectors.
During the event, Ambani emphasized that AI will play a pivotal role in transforming every facet of products and services.
He expressed Reliance Jio’s enthusiasm for providing 5G private networks, including a 5G stack, to enterprises. Additionally, he mentioned the company’s forthcoming launch of media, commerce, communication, and device-related products and services.
Highlighting their plans, Ambani mentioned the ongoing work on their proprietary operating system (OS) designed for televisions.
He indicated that Reliance Jio has been diligently working on this OS and is deliberating on its strategic launch for televisions.
Describing Jio as the world’s largest startup, he also hailed India as the most significant innovation center for the upcoming decade.
Furthermore, Ambani projected India’s economy to reach a $6 trillion mark by the decade’s end, underscoring the country’s tremendous potential for growth and innovation.
