Rahul Gandhi Announces Shops-of-Love Nationwide Amid Accusations of BJP Spreading Hatred
Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of promoting hatred and inciting violence, Congress Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi declared on Saturday that the Congress party and its allies are planning to establish “Shops of Love” across the nation.
During the continuation of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Jharkhand, Rahul Gandhi, representing Wayanad, expressed that the Congress is committed to combating the animosity and fear prevalent among BJP supporters.
“The BJP is propagating hatred. We embarked on a 4000 km Bharat Jodo Yatra against this culture of hate and violence, with the slogan ‘Nafrat Ke Bazaar Me Mohabbat Ki Dukkan.’ Regardless of how much hatred and violence the BJP spreads, the Congress and its allies will establish shops of love throughout India, as our fight is against the hatred and fear harbored by BJP supporters,” Rahul Gandhi declared to a large audience.
Highlighting the injustice faced by various sections of society, including the poor, youth, women, and farmers, the Congress leader emphasized that the Nyay Yatra aims to address these issues. He stated, “We are here against the spread of hatred, to bring people together, and to establish a shop of love in Jharkhand because injustice is being perpetrated against the underprivileged across the entire country.”
Rahul Gandhi also accused the BJP government of acting against the interests of tribals and adivasis, citing the cancellation of the Land Tribunal Bill. He claimed, “If the name ‘Adani’ is mentioned in India, people understand it instantly… Narendra Modi is the capital of Adani. We introduced the Land Tribunal Bill, but Prime Minister Modi annulled it. Injustice is being done to everyone, except for Adani.”
The ongoing Nyay Yatra, which commenced on January 14 from Imphal, has entered Jharkhand and is scheduled to cover various locations in the state. The Yatra, spanning 6,200 kilometers over 66 days, will traverse through multiple states before concluding in Maharashtra, aiming to address issues of injustice and unite communities along the way.
