Punjab Police Nabs Drug Smugglers in High-Speed Chase on Indo-Pak Border
Punjab Police successfully apprehended two drug smugglers after a high-speed chase covering 40 kilometers along the Indo-Pak Border. The police recovered 2 kilograms of heroin and a Mahindra Scorpio car from their possession. The arrested individuals have been identified as Arshdeep Singh and Rajpreet Singh, both residents of Ferozepur.
Hot Pursuit Operation
The pursuit was initiated based on secret information regarding heroin smuggling. Tarn Taran Police chased the Scorpio vehicle from Bhikhiwind, eventually apprehending the suspects at Chohla Sahib after recovering the contraband. During the chase, one of the accused individuals injured his ankle while attempting to escape from the police.
Ongoing Investigations
The police have filed an FIR under sections 21c and 29 of the NDPS act at Police Station Chohla Sahib in Tarn Taran. Further investigations are underway to uncover additional individuals involved in this drug smuggling module.
