    Key Highlights:

    1. ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh-JKAS presides over Block Diwas public grievance camp.
    2. Free health check-up camp held under “Doctor Aapke Gaon” initiative for underprivileged.
    3. Community encouraged to join Swachhta Pakhwada and cleanliness drives.

Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Phulail Singh-JKAS, led a Public Grievance Redressal Camp in Balgran, Drabshalla Block, as part of the weekly Block Diwas program.

The camp saw significant participation from district officials, including BDO Drabshalla Hitesh Kumar Loona, and heads of various departments like health, power, and education.

During the camp, representatives and public delegations voiced concerns regarding infrastructure in health, power, water, roads, and education. ACD Kishtwar addressed these grievances, resolving many on the spot with the help of the attending officials.

Specific concerns raised by DDC Councillors from Drabshalla-A and Bonjwah were documented for further action.

ACD Kishtwar also distributed Old Age Kits to senior citizens in the presence of district officers and DDC Councillors. The event served as a platform for district officers to educate attendees about beneficiary schemes from various departments, encouraging the community to maximize their benefits.

Awareness about the Vishavkarma Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) was also provided to local youth and artisans.

The ACD highlighted the Block Diwas program’s goal of addressing public grievances at the grassroots level and urged the community to actively participate in the Swachhta Pakhwada under the Suchita Sangram initiative.

The initiative, running from August 1 to 15, 2024, focuses on cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and creating a zero-plastic society. A cleanliness drive, led by BDO Drabshalla and the Rural Development Department, further promoted the Swachh Bharat Campaign’s objectives.

Alongside the program, a free health check-up and screening camp under the “Doctor Aapke Gaon” initiative provided medical services to underprivileged individuals, offering consultations and medicines at no cost.
