
Pr Secy H. Rajesh Prasad Holds Public Outreach Camp; Flags off Amrit Kalash Yatra, in Doda
The Principal Secretary H. Rajesh Prasad, along with District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan, flagged off Amrit Kalash Yatra for Winter Capital Jammu, before it’s further travel to National Capital Dehli, where the holy soil of the district shall become a part of Amrit Vatika. He also distributed motorized tricycles among specially abled persons and sanctioned letters of land allotment for PMAY houses to the identified deserving beneficiaries.
The camp provided an opportunity for the residents of Doda to voice their issues and seek redressal directly from the concerned authorities. Various deputations that met with the visiting officer, H. Rajesh Prasad includes, DDC Chairman and other DDC Councillors, BDC Chairpersons, Bar Association Doda, Doda Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Chenab Rescuers Doda, Chenab Citizens Forum, Contractors Association, and Hotels Association of Bhaderwah. Various heads of the government departments, including Revenue, Police, Power, Health, Education, Public Works, and Agriculture and allied departments, were also present to address the concerns specific to their respective sectors.
Prominent people present during the program DDC Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal, DDC Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Rani, District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan, SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADDC Doda Pran Singh, ADC Doda Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti, SEs of PWD, PDD, Hydraulics, PMGSY, and other district officers. Notably, the most prominent issues revolved around power supply and its infrastructure., promotion of Tourism, JalJeevan Mission and other related issues. Principal Secretary H. Rajesh Prasad assured the public representatives that their genuine concerns would be addressed through the collaboration of the district administration with the Jammu and Kashmir UT government.
Regarding the power supply issues during winter, he explained that due to reduced water levels in rivers and other bodies, power generation decreases, leading to electricity purchase from other states to meet the demand. He encouraged the use of the government’s solar light program and emphasized the importance of the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana, which provides a 90% subsidy for solar pumps for farmers. He also instructed for ensuring to complete ongoing NABARD projects .
The Principal Secretary assured that all concerns and grievances raised during the meeting would be conveyed to the relevant department for resolution.. The public outreach camp was a part of the government’s ongoing efforts to connect with the people at the grassroots level and ensure the efficient delivery of public services. Principal Secretary H.
