Police Seized 27 Bottles of Illicit Liquor in Kishtwar
In a commendable effort to combat illegal activities, the District Police Kishtwar executed a successful operation resulting in the recovery of 27 bottles of illicit liquor from the Shalimar area of Kishtwar town.
Surprise Checkpoint Yields Results
Under the leadership of SHO PS Kishtwar Insp Firdous Ahmed, supported by IC PP Shalimar PSI Happy Choudhary and a dedicated team of SST, a surprise checkpoint was established at Shalimar. This proactive measure aimed to intercept any suspicious activities in the area.
During the checkpoint operation, a vigilant naka party identified a suspicious individual. Upon inspection, the team discovered 27 bottles of illicit liquor in the possession of the apprehended person. The swift action led to the immediate arrest of the individual, identified as Firdous Ahmed Bagwan, hailing from Semna Colony Kishtwar.

In response to this illegal activity, the District Police Kishtwar promptly registered Case FIR No. 105/2024 under the relevant sections of the law at PS Kishtwar.
