The application process for the PM Scholarship for the academic year 2023-24 is entirely online, making it convenient for applicants. To apply, students need to visit the Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat Portal. However, it’s essential to mark your calendars because the last date to submit your application is November 30, 2023. Missing this deadline may result in the loss of this valuable opportunity.

Scholarship Amounts and Availability

For eligible applicants, the PM Scholarship Scheme offers substantial financial aid. Female students are eligible for a monthly scholarship of Rs 3,000, while male students can receive Rs 2,500 per month. This financial support can make a significant difference in students’ lives, and there are a total of 5,500 scholarships available, further increasing the chances for deserving students to benefit from this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria and Required Documents

To qualify for the PM Scholarship, students need to meet certain eligibility criteria. These include achieving a minimum score of 60% in their 12th-grade, diploma, or graduation examinations. The scholarship is limited to students currently enrolled in the first year of technical or professional courses and studying full-time in an institution recognized by AICTE/UGC.

Eligibility extends to students who are dependents of ESM (Ex-Servicemen) or former Coast Guard personnel, as well as children of deceased individuals. However, students in their second year, except for lateral entry and integrated courses, are ineligible for the scholarship. Additionally, students pursuing education abroad are not eligible.

To apply, students must provide essential documents, including a passport-sized photograph, Aadhar Card, Matriculation Certificate (as proof of their Date of Birth), Mark sheet of their 12th, Diploma, or Graduation, a Bonafide Certificate, Proof of an Aadhar-seeded bank account, ESM/Ex-Coast Guard Personal Certificate duly attested by ZSB (Zila Sainik Board), the front page of a bank passbook, Part II Order (POR), Pension Payment Order (PPO), or ESM Identity Card, and an Affidavit or Self Certificate of ESM (Ex-Servicemen).
