    PM Modi to Launch UPI and RuPay Services in Sri Lanka and Mauritius

    India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sri Lanka’s President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Mauritius’ Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth will witness the launch of UPI services in Sri Lanka and Mauritius, as well as RuPay card services in Mauritius. The launch aims to enhance digital connectivity and offer a seamless digital transaction experience, benefiting people with faster transactions.

    Cross-Border UPI Payments Expansion

    The extension of UPI settlement services will facilitate transactions for Indian nationals traveling to Sri Lanka and Mauritius, as well as for Mauritian nationals visiting India. Additionally, the introduction of RuPay card services in Mauritius will enable Mauritian banks to issue RuPay cards, enhancing settlement options both in India and Mauritius.
