PM Modi Inspires Youth Toward ‘Developed Nation’ Vision, Highlights ‘Nation First’ and Honors Women Empowerment at Republic Day Event
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and performers involved in this year’s Republic Day program, encouraging them to bolster their commitment to achieving the aspiration of a ‘Developed Nation.’
In his address to the NCC and NSS members, the PM emphasized the significance of the next 25 years, marking a critical period for the nation’s pursuit of becoming a developed country by 2047.
Referring to the younger generation as Gen Z, PM Modi expressed his belief that they are the ‘Amrit Peedhi,’ asserting that their energy will drive progress during the Amrit Kaal. He reminded them of the nation’s resolve to achieve developed status by 2047 and underscored the pivotal role they play in this transformative journey.
Stressing the importance of ‘Nation First,’ the Prime Minister urged the youth to align their efforts, vision, and capabilities towards elevating India to new heights. He emphasized that every endeavor should be dedicated to the country and encouraged them to expand their knowledge.
In a unique outreach effort, PM Modi invited the youth to share their memorable Republic Day Parade experiences through the NaMo app. He requested them to record videos sharing their learnings from Republic Day, providing a means for the younger generation to stay connected with him.
Acknowledging the significant role played by women in the country, PM Modi highlighted that this year’s Republic Day Parade was dedicated to the ‘nari shakti’ or women power. He commended the daughters from different regions for bringing the essence of their state, customs, traditions, and rich societal thinking to the gathering.
Recognizing the achievements of Indian daughters throughout history, the PM celebrated ‘Rashtriya Balika Diwas’ and emphasized the foundation of transformative changes laid by the mettle and dedication of these women.
Moreover, PM Modi announced new opportunities for girls aspiring to pursue careers in the Defense Forces, allowing admission to Sainik Schools. Drawing from his own experience in the NCC, he encouraged the youth to participate in institutions like NCC, NSS, and cultural camps, highlighting their role in fostering awareness of societal and civic duties.
