    A PDD daily wager died of an electric shock in the Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday afternoon.

    An official said that a man identified as Gh Mohd Wani, son of Habibullah Wani, resident of Seeriguiwa Dangerpora (50), was working as a daily wager in the PDD department. While rectifying a fault in the smart meter, he received an electric shock. “Wani was immediately taken to SDH Pattan for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.”

    The official added that necessary proceedings and an investigation have been initiated.
