Opening ceremony of 4th District Taekwondo Championship 2023 held in Doda

Doda, October 02; Opening ceremony of two days 4th District Doda Taekwondo Championships held on 01 October 2023 at Town Hall, Doda.

The Championship was held under the emblem of ‘My Youth My Pride’ and was organized by Taekwondo Association of District Doda under the aegis J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd) and supported by J&K Sports Council (JKSC).

The first day witnessed a massive combative skill show between the Cadets and Sub-Junior Athlete’s in both male and female categories. More than 150 players participated in different weight categories from different Schools and Clubs of District Doda. The opening ceremony was addressed by Shri Mohd Ashraf Wani (DIO, Doda) as Chief Guest along with Shri Kheem Chand (Principal JNV School Doda), Dr. Altaf Malik (Surgeon GMC Doda) as Guest of Honour and Mr. Brinder Singh Manhas, Mr Deepak Pawaria, Seema Yadav and Irfan Naik were also present in the event as Special Guests. While speaking on the auspicious occasion Shri Mohd Ashraf Wani congratulated all the medalists and participants for taking part in the said championships.

The Championship was headed by Junaid Ali Khan President TADD. The Technical Team , who displayed the fairplay decisions throughout the Championship was led by Shri Atul Pangotra. In the referee panel, Shanaz Parveen, Sidharth Sharma, Rakesh Singh, Rajinder Singh and Mehak Anthal.

All the Medalists will represent District Doda in the forthcoming 26th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships – 2023.
