The Odisha government has taken a significant step in boosting the state’s industrial growth by approving 12 new industrial projects. These projects, amounting to an investment of ₹84,919 crore, are anticipated to generate 42,281 job opportunities.

The projects encompass various sectors, including apparel & textiles, green hydrogen and green ammonia, steel, power & renewable energy, and chemical & petrochemicals. This diversity signifies the state’s commitment to developing a multifaceted industrial base.
Strategic Locations Across Odisha
These industrial ventures will be strategically located in several cities across the state, including Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapada, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh. This widespread geographical distribution ensures balanced regional development.
Key Investors and Economic Impact
Prominent companies like Welspun Group, Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India Private Limited, Re-New E-Fuels private Ltd., Tata Group, BMW Industries Limited, NTPC India Ltd, and Aegis Vopak have committed to these investments. The government’s statement highlights the potential of these projects to transform Odisha into a hub of industrial development and employment generation in Eastern India.
