At least nine passengers were injured following a collision between two vehicles on the highway in Bijbehara, Anantnag district, South Kashmir. The accident occurred when a Tata Mobile (JK21C 8406) and a Sumo (JK16 0948) collided near the Air Strip this morning.
The injured individuals were identified as Rumaisa, Abdul Qayoom Bairan, Azra, Ishrat, Salreen, Ahkam, Arhan, Imad, and Usman, all hailing from Kangan and Sonamarg. Following the incident, they were initially taken to SDH Bijbehara and subsequently transferred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment.
A police official confirmed the incident and stated that they have taken cognizance of the matter, initiating an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
