
NFJM National Chairman Dr Tahir Rufayee Visits Snow-Bound Areas of Bhaderwah, Reviews Winter Preparedness
Bhaderwah, Doda: Dr Tahir Rufayee, National Chairman of the National Foundation for Journalism and Media (NFJM), on Friday visited several snow-clad areas of Bhaderwah sub-division, including Nalthi, Sartingal and Thanthera, to assess ground conditions and review the availability of essential services during the ongoing winter season.
During the visit, Dr Rufayee interacted with local residents and took stock of snow clearance operations, road connectivity, power supply and emergency response mechanisms. He gathered first-hand feedback on the functioning of the administration amid heavy snowfall and harsh weather conditions.
Residents expressed satisfaction over the swift and coordinated response of the District Administration, appreciating timely snow clearance and uninterrupted support in remote and upper reaches of Bhaderwah. Locals said the administration’s efforts helped minimise hardship and ensured public safety during extreme winter conditions.

Dr Rufayee also visited upper areas of Bhaderwah, where he reviewed challenges faced by people living in difficult terrain. He lauded the proactive approach of the administration and stressed the importance of responsive governance and effective coordination during natural adversities.
Commending the district administration for its professionalism, Dr Rufayee emphasised the role of responsible journalism in highlighting public issues and administrative initiatives. He assured residents that their concerns and suggestions would be conveyed to the relevant authorities for further action.
