
New Zealand Clinches Tri-Series Title, Defeats Pakistan by 5 Wickets
New Zealand have won the Tri-Series trophy after defeating Pakistan in the final at Karachi National Stadium, Pakistan. New Zealand played three matches in the event and won all of them with commanding performances. The players of New Zealand posed with the trophy after the tournament, which featured teams from South Africa, Pakistan, and New Zealand.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan lost Fakhar Zaman early for just 10 (15), while star batsman Babar Azam also failed to convert his start into a big innings, scoring 29 (34). Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, and Tayyab Tahir contributed 46 (76), 45 (65), and 38 (33), respectively. Pakistan were all out for 242 runs in 49.3 overs.

For New Zealand, William O’Rourke picked up four wickets, while Michael Bracewell, Nathan Smith, and Mitchell Santner took 2, 1, and 2 wickets, respectively.
Chasing 242 runs, New Zealand’s batter Will Young got out early. Devon Conway scored 48 (74), Kane Williamson 34 (49), Daryl Mitchell 57 (58), and wicketkeeper Tom Latham 56 (64). New Zealand chased down the target in 45.2 overs.
For Pakistan, Naseem Shah picked up two wickets, while Abrar Ahmed and Salman Ali Agha took one wicket each.
Will O’Rourke was declared the Player of the Match, while Salman Ali Agha was named the Player of the Series.
