NCC Car Rally Culminates in Guwahati Celebrating Unity and National Pride
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) car rally, a symbol of unity and national pride, concluded its journey with a flag-in ceremony in Guwahati on Sunday. Assam Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah officiated the ceremony at Brahmaputra Hall, Narangi Cantt. The event, attended by Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, GOC-in-C Eastern Command, and other civil-military dignitaries, was a celebration of discipline, unity, and patriotism.
Journey Across the North East
The rally, which commenced on November 6 from Shillong, covered over 3,400 km across the North East, including Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Meghalaya. A team of dedicated NCC officers and 76 cadets participated in the rally, driving 7 Maruti Suzuki Jimnys and 5 Grand Vitara SUVs. The journey was not just a display of endurance but also a testament to the spirit of exploration and adventure.

Cultural Exchange and Engagement with Local Communities
Throughout its route, the NCC car rally engaged with local communities, interacting with over 20,000 students from more than 200 schools and 140 colleges across 44 districts. The cadets participated in various cultural events, promoting cultural exchange and understanding among diverse regions of India. Eminent personalities, senior officials, and NCC representatives attended these events, offering encouragement and support to the cadets. The rally served as a platform for the cadets to imbibe and demonstrate values of leadership, unity, and service, reinforcing the ethos of the NCC.
