MS Dhoni’s Inspiring Perspective on Life
MS Dhoni, the iconic former captain of the Indian cricket team, has always been celebrated not only for his cricketing achievements but also for his demeanor and outlook on life. In a recent video from an interactive session, Dhoni was asked about his hunger for success and what is currently essential in his life.
To this, Dhoni responded, “Right from the start, I was not into that ‘People should remember me as a good cricketer.’ I have always said that ‘I want to be remembered as a good human being’. If you want to be a good human being, it’s a process till you die.”
This response exemplifies Dhoni’s humility and his focus on personal growth and character beyond his cricketing career. It resonates with his well-known philosophy that cricket is just one chapter in his life, and he values being a good human being above all else.
Tribute to MS Dhoni at Wankhede Stadium
In addition to MS Dhoni’s profound impact on Indian cricket and his fans, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) recently paid tribute to him by redesigning two seats at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. These seats are where Dhoni’s majestic World Cup-winning six landed in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup final. The specially designed cabin around these seats is now named the “World Cup 2011 Victory Memorial Stand” and features replica trophies from the World Cup, along with a photograph of the Indian cricket team celebrating their 2011 World Cup victory.
This tribute underscores Dhoni’s iconic status in Indian cricket and his pivotal role in achieving significant milestones for the national team, including the memorable 2011 World Cup win.
