Man Arrested for Extorting Money in Pulwama
Srinagar: A man has been apprehended by the authorities in Pulwama district for engaging in extortion through criminal intimidation. The arrest follows reports received by the Rajpora police station regarding individuals using deceitful tactics to extract money from locals.
Investigation and Arrest
Upon receiving the information, authorities swiftly initiated an investigation into the matter. A case under FIR no 22/2024, citing sections 384, 506, and 420, was registered to address the criminal activities. Subsequently, law enforcement officers arrested Andleeb Ahmad Mir, son of Ab Rasheed Mir and resident of Rajpora, in connection with the extortion scheme.
Recovery of Incriminating Evidence
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement recovered two toy pistols believed to have been used in the commission of the crimes from the possession of the arrested individual. These findings serve as crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.
