Mamata Banerjee Alleges Election Data Hacking After BJP’s West Bengal Victory
West Bengal, May 25, 2026 [VoM News]: After the Bharatiya Janata Party secured a sweeping victory over the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, the controversy regarding free and fair elections is still ongoing.
Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has alleged that data from the Election Office was hacked during the Assembly elections.
She has accused certain sections of the media of helping create the perception of an early BJP victory.
Regarding the Bhabanipur Assembly seat, Mamata stated that she would explain in court how the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat and openly challenged the authorities to conduct a foreign investigation. She dared the authorities to show courage and conduct a forensic probe.
Mamata has also demanded access to the Election Commissioner’s report on the matter.
As Mamata heads to court regarding the West Bengal elections, more details are expected to emerge once the arguments begin.
