Maharashtra Government Directs Strict Adherence to Government Orders’ Upload on Website
The Maharashtra Government’s General Administration Department has issued a notice directing all ministerial departments and concerned officers to adhere strictly to guidelines for uploading government orders, notices, and resolutions on the government website. This directive comes in response to observations that some orders and government resolutions are not being uploaded, despite it being mandatory.
The notice emphasizes the importance of following guidelines promptly to ensure easy access for all citizens. It also mandates that every notice and government resolution should be shared with Leaders of both Houses of the state legislature without exception.
The circular states, “All Ministerial Departments are obligated to ensure that copies of Government Decisions, Circulars, and Notifications issued by their respective departments are duly shared with the Opposition Leaders of both Houses, alongside prompt uploading on the Government website. However, it has been observed that many departments have yet to publish these on the government website.”
Highlighting the need for immediate action, the notice reiterates the requirement for Ministerial Departments to publish all government decisions, circulars, and notifications without fail. The emphasis remains on making this information easily accessible to the general public by prompt publication on the government’s website.
