Maharashtra CM Assures Strict Action After Mumbai Bomb Threat Alert
Following an alarming anonymous warning received by Mumbai Police about potential serial blasts in the city, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reassured the public of stringent measures against those responsible. He affirmed that the Mumbai Police are on high alert and fully equipped to prevent any such incidents.
In response to the threat received on Saturday evening, Shinde emphasized the readiness and competence of the city’s police force. “Our police are capable in every way, and if anyone does something wrong or against the rules, they will be punished. Strict action will be taken against the culprits,” stated CM Shinde.
According to officials, the threat call regarding imminent serial blasts was received by the Mumbai Police Control on Saturday at approximately 6 PM. The caller provided this information before abruptly ending the call.
In response, law enforcement conducted thorough searches at various significant public locations and key installations across Mumbai. Despite the thorough search operations, no explosive devices or suspicious items were discovered.
The authorities are actively pursuing leads to trace the origin and identity of the anonymous caller. The ongoing investigation aims to gather more details and ascertain the credibility of the threat.
The vigilance of law enforcement remains heightened as they work to ensure the safety and security of Mumbai residents while diligently investigating the source of the threat.
