
Low Intensity Earthquake Jolts Jammu Kashmir’s Doda, No Damage Reported
Doda, Apr 14 (VoM News): A low intensity earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale struck the adjoining areas of Doda district early Tuesday morning, officials said.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremor occurred at around 4:55 am IST, and was recorded at a latitude of 33.101 North and longitude of 75.881 East, with a depth of 10 kilometres in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Though the impact remained limited due to the low intensity, the residents of the area felt the quake. A couple of days back, a massive earthquake of 4.6 magnitude has shocked the jammu kashmir.
However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
