Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony for a new campus of Cluster University, Jammu, today. During the event, the Lt Governor extended his congratulations to the Vice Chancellor, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students associated with the cluster university.

He emphasized the crucial role played by universities and educational institutions in fulfilling the evolving aspirations of both society and the nation. Acknowledging the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he noted the significant contributions of institutions and the improved access to quality education in various sectors.

Lt Governor Sinha also discussed the noteworthy reforms implemented in the higher education sector in Jammu and Kashmir over the past few years. He highlighted the remarkable expansion of the education sector in the Union Territory, emphasizing its vital role in addressing development needs, enhancing human capital, and contributing to the broader vision of nation-building.

Furthermore, the Lt Governor underscored the importance of colleges under Cluster University in leveraging opportunities to enhance, reorient, and prepare a skilled workforce that is market-ready.

Expressing his appreciation, Lt Governor Sinha congratulated Prof Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, for the successful completion of his tenure and extended his best wishes for good health and continued success in the future.

The ceremony was attended by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary Higher Education; Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; senior officials; Principals of Associated Colleges; Heads of Departments; and Faculty members of Cluster University of Jammu at Raj Bhawan.
