Landline Facility Installation in Progress at Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue Site
In a compassionate move to connect trapped workers with their families, a landline facility is being set up at the Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand) tunnel rescue site.
Government’s Directive for Communication Setup
Following government orders, the installation of a landline connection is underway, as confirmed by BSNL employee Kundan. This initiative is part of the broader rescue efforts to provide support and reassurance to the workers and their families during this challenging time.
Efforts to Establish Connection
BSNL is actively working to lay wires necessary for the landline facility. This setup is aimed at enabling direct communication between the trapped workers and their loved ones.
Aiding Emotional Support to Trapped Workers
Once operational, the landline phone will be sent inside the tunnel, allowing the trapped workers to have verbal contact with their family members, offering them emotional support and comfort.
