Ladakh Police Hosts Workshop on Cyber Security and Fire Safety

07 Dec, 2024 Leh, Ladakh – Ladakh Police and Fire & Rescue Services deptt, in partnership with the All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association (ALHAGHA), successfully conducted a workshop focused on Cyber Security and Fire Safety, addressing two vital concerns for the region’s growing hospitality sector.

The workshop aimed to empower stakeholders with essential knowledge and practical tools to create a safer and more secure environment for the hospitality industry.

The SIT Cybercrime Unit of District Police Leh, led by Insp Jamyang, SI Deachen and Ms, Nilza Angmo Dysp IRP Bn, delivered an insightful presentation on protecting businesses from cyber threats and about emerging cyber frauds in the region.
Participants learned best practices for securing customer data and implementing robust online security measures.

Meanwhile, experts from Fire & Emergency Services provided guidance on obtaining Fire Safety NOCs, understanding compliance standards, and adopting proactive measures to prevent fire-related incidents through power point presentation and practical demonstratation.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by the Additional SP Leh, who acknowledged the attendees and highlighted the workshop’s significance.

Superintendent of Police Fire & Emergency Services also introduced the objectives of the session, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to enhance safety standards.

This collaborative workshop represents a significant stride in strengthening Ladakh’s safety framework and ensuring its hospitality industry remains resilient, compliant, and secure for all.
