Kathua Police Apprehends Shallu Group Member in GMC Shootout Case
The Jammu and Kashmir police apprehended another member of the Shallu gang responsible for the recent fatal attack on Police Sub Inspector Deepak Sharma outside Government Medical College Kathua. The arrest took place in Punjab, where the gangster had fled following the incident.
Reportedly, two gang members had escaped after their leader, Vasudev Sharma, was killed by the police, and Deepak Sharma sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Sources indicate that local assistance facilitated their escape to Punjab. However, law enforcement authorities pursued them, resulting in the recent arrest.
Director General of Police J&K R.R. Swain reiterated the commitment to apprehend all involved, ensuring that the sacrifice of Deepak Sharma is not in vain.
