Kashmir Government announces winter vacations Within Days
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, conveyed on Wednesday that the government is actively considering the announcement of a winter break for schools in Kashmir. He informed reporters that a decision on the matter is imminent and will be disclosed within a day or two.
Bidhuri emphasized that the decision-making process involves careful consideration of various factors, particularly how the vacation will impact the academic schedule of students. He outlined the plan to initiate the closure of primary schools first, followed by middle and upper schools. The announcement of vacations will be a gradual process.

“The specific dates for the vacation will be communicated in the next day or two,” assured Bidhuri. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that the academic calendar of students remains unaffected despite the winter break.
