JMM Leader Shibu Soren Challenges Lokpal Proceedings in DA Case
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Shibu Soren has approached the Delhi High Court, challenging the single-judge order refusing to interfere with the Lokpal proceedings against him in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
Soren contends that the Lokpal’s jurisdiction is lacking, arguing that the proceedings are without jurisdiction, nullity, and not maintainable.
The appeal has been adjourned for further hearing. The Lokpal had directed the CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry against Soren based on a complaint by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey.
